Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Osman Aras, Dean of FASE, Dr. Jaafer Hussein, the Director of the International Relations Office, Mr. Karwan Sherwani, Vice Dean of FASE, Dr. Waqar Ahmad, Head of the Banking and Finance Department, Dr. Mohammad Salih, Head of the International Relations and Diplomacy Department, Dr. Hamdi Serin, DoS Representative, and Mr. Fayeq Ali, HoD and the organizer of this event, virtually met with Philomath University, Nigeria, represented by Prof. Gylych Jelilov, Vice Chancellor, Mr. Yasar Aktekin, Registrar, Prof. Seth Akutson, Dean of the Social Science and Management Sciences Faculties, Dr. Mary Jolasinmi, Head of Department at Law Faculty, and Dr. Mokobia Chigozie Daniel, Public Relations Coordinator, on May 23rd, 2023, at 13:00 Erbil Time.
Philomath University is driven by a passion for education with a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to bring about scientific, technological, and industrial revolutions in Africa, particularly in Nigeria.
With the aim of promoting cooperation in education and research areas of mutual interest, as well as fostering direct contact and collaboration between faculty members, departments, research institutions, and students, both universities (TIU and Philomath University) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
During the meeting, key officials from both universities presented their institutions and shared significant achievements. The implementation mechanism of the MoU and various areas of collaboration were also discussed.
